Notice of Public Hearing
Sufficiency of Instructional Materials
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., at the District Services Center (DSC) Board Room, located at 540 Canyon Del Rey, Monterey, CA.
The purpose of the public hearing is to comply with Education Code Section 60119 (c).
The governing board shall hold a public hearing and shall make a determination through a resolution, as to whether each pupil in the District has, or will have, prior to the end of the second month of school, sufficient textbooks or instructional materials that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework and are aligned to the content standards adopted pursuant to Education Code Section 60605 in the four subjects adopted by the State Board of Education (Mathematics, Science, History/Social Studies, English/Language Arts), and for each pupil enrolled in foreign language and health classes.
